Former internees, families, and friends converged at the Grauman Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California, on January 27, 2014, to see the first screening of the documentary, Children of Internment, by Kristina Wagner and Joe Crump. The documentary examines the Alien Enemy Control Program through interviews with former internees, authors, historians, and children of former camp staff. Newsreel clips, letters, and sketches by internees intersperse the interviews. Illustrations are used very effectively to show events where photographs are not available, for example the train trips taking internee families to Germany. Now Kristina and Joe are actively pursuing opportunities to introduce the documentary to wider audiences.
