On August 7, the San Antonio Current published an article by reporter Dean Zach— “Repeating History: Survivors of South Texas’ World War II internment camps see terrifying parallels in Trump’s immigration crackdown.” Former Crystal City internees were interviewed, as well as U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro, Jose Rodriguez Jr., the administrator of another, current detention center in Dilley, Texas (technically known as the Dilley Immigration Processing Facility) and Dilley City Administrator Henry Arredondo.
